2nd Feb 2009	We're off!  In comparison with some of the exciting places we hope to visit and the sophisticated forms of travel we hope to use, we are starting at the bottom and working up. Our journey from Ballina to Dublin was by Bus Eireann, a 4 hours affair over the potholed roads of the West of Ireland but with a great view of the flooded fields.  A pitstop in the backstreets of Longford is about as exotic as it gets for this leg of the journey.  Overnight in the Airport Carlton hotel
